Team 7-Eleven Cycling Jersey by Descente
Celebrate America's #1 cycling team
The 7-Eleven pro cycling team was founded in 1981 and featured Eric Heiden, winner of five gold medals in the 1980 Winter Olympics, Davis Phinney, Andy Hampsten, Ron Kiefel, and many other top American professionals. The team's accomplishments are legendary and countless, including Hampsten's epic triumph in the 1988 Giro d'Italia (including his amazing ride through the snow and ice over the Passo Gavia), stage wins in the Tour de France (Phinney became the first American to win a stage), world championship medals, and several US Pro Championship titles.
In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the founding of the 7-Eleven cycling team, Descente is producing a limited number of 7-Eleven jerseys and will donate $5 from the sale of each jersey to the The Davis Phinney Foundation to improve the lives of people affected by Parkinson Disease.
This pro legacy jersey is a recreation of the original jersey worn by the professional cyclists on the 7-Eleven team. All the original sponsors are on the jersey, including Eddy Merckx bicycles, Wolber tires, and Hoonved washing supplies.
