In it's previous incarnation, the X2 had been in development for nearly three years. Never before has such effort been put into making something that effectively disappears underneath you. It is an obsession with Castelli, to provide you with all you need for the perfect ride.
The additional Pro-rider feedback gained in this 4th year of testing has resulted in a couple of useful updates that bring even greater performance to this already remarkable seatpad. The new Progetto X2 Air will keep you cooler and drier than before, thanks to the addition of perforations in the foam layer of the pad. These perforations will allow air to flow right into the surface fabric, and aid with moisture evaporation. The shape of the pad has also been adjusted slightly to further increase your comfort.
The Progetto X2 Air Chamois is available in both men's and women's specific options.

1. Skin Care Layer
A soft, 4-way stretch, microdenier, seamless, bacteriostatic layer that is made to adapt to the shape of your body as you move, without any folds in the fabric occuring, and without any chafing. It is probably the softest thing to touch your private parts since you got out of diapers !

2. Seamless Integrated Technology Cushioning Layer
Castelli invented Vario Thick, and now take it to a new level with infinitely variable thickness, multi-density foam. The thickness this layer is engineered to place the padding where it is needed most to ensure maximum comfort.

3. Viscous Comfort Inserts
Perforated viscous comfort padding is added under the ischial bones and the perineum, for optimum protection in these highly sensitive areas.
