The main fabric of choice for this jersey is the incredibly light and soft Asteria fabric. The stretch of this fabric allows a great fit, with micro-compression, and also has high moisture wicking ability. Ametista fabric panels are added to help control the stretch and provide further durability in key areas. This fabric has carbon woven into it which keeps the weight down and increases durability. The carbon can also reduce act as a protective barrier, for your internal organs, from electrical interference emitted by cellphone towers and power lines. At the cuffs and at the waist of the jersey, the Ametista fabric is backed with Giordana's Antigua material to form the Aerofix Gripper System which holds the jersey perfectly in place with a comfortable, seamless feel without constriction. Antigua is perforated, to create little pockets of air next to the skin, promoting airflow and keeping the skin underneath cool and dry. A fourth fabric, MCK, forms the Y shape of the back panel. MCK also incorporates carbon and is used to limit the vertical stretch in this area, thereby avoiding any sag when your rear cargo pockets are loaded up. The Y shape also helps with ergonomics and the jersey's ability to follow your body’s contours. A separate pattern piece is used at the collar to isolate the neck and head, allowing the jersey to maintain it's shape whatever your riding position. X-Fine micro-mesh is also used and allows maximum breathability. The jersey has a full CamLock zip with flaps of fabric at the top and bottom to protect the materials from the zipper teeth. Three rear pockets are provided and finished in piping that corresponds to the accent flat stitching elsewhere on the jersey. There is also a zippered compartment to secure your valuables. The center back pocket has reflective elements for visibility and on this particular FR-C jersey the right hand rear pocket has a Breast Cancer Foundation pink ribbon detail.
While this garment is ideal for very hot weather, it can be worn over a base layer and used on cooler days also.

	MELISSA SAYS: What I love about this jersey is how the material feels next to your skin! It has a super silky feel to the touch that seems very light weight and very luxurious, much like the feel of a 1,000 thread count sheets. In regards to sizing, I usually wear a size medium in true to American sized jerseys, but I found that due to the generous cut in width, and length on this jersey (in combination with the stretchy fabric,) that the size small was comparable with the size medium's I usually wear.
