The basis for Castelli's Tri line has been their Body Paint, which has many attributes suited to the disciplines of triathlon. Some additional tri-specific refinements have been made to the Body Paint short with the inclusion of Castelli's own new Tri specific Kiss seatpad.
Body Paint Tri shorts are constructed from a single piece of Body Paint Tri fabric. This single piece has all the functional components integrated into the one piece of fabric, eliminating seams and sources of chafing. The microfiber construction provides positive flotation for the swimming leg and is extremely fast-drying. Titanium-dioxide infused fibers will reflect the UV rays and keep you cooler. The garment has a light compression that maintains your comfort whilst still providing muscle support to reduce fatigue. Lycra Extra Life has been used to allow extended exposure to chlorine. The Tri-Kiss seatpad is constructed seamlessly to avoid abrasion or chafing in sensitive areas. The top cover of the pad is highly elastic and soft, provides total freedom of movement and is fast-drying. The seatpad has a 3mm layer of soft foam and is optimized for the aerobar postion adopted on the bike, whilst being practically invisible for the swim and the run. Castelli's integrated leg grippers maintain comfort and support throughoout the swim, bike and run. A handy internal pocket is perfect for a gel or other essentials.
