Retro Image Apparel jerseys now offer improved fit, brighter sublimated graphics and a softer, rapid-wicking high-quality Euro Mesh fabric. Consult the SIZE CHART tab for new sizing guidelines.Retro pays homage to another of the World's many great bicycle races - the Tour of Catalonia, Spain's next most popular bike race after their national Tour, the Vuelta a Espana. This race was first run in 1911 and is in fact the third oldest cycling stage race in the world ( 1st Tour de France 1903, and Giro d'Italia 1909). Next year will be it's Centennary edition although the race has only been run 90 times so far in it's history. This jersey commemorates the 1952 edition of the race with artwork from the official race poster beautifully sublimated on high quality Euro-Mesh fabric. The jersey has a 3/4 length (19") hidden zipper and three roomy pockets at the rear.1952's Vuelta Cataluna saw a solid field of riders, all vying for a late season flash of glory. Spanish star Miguel Poblet set out to put his stamp on the race, capturing the first stage at Montjuich. On the torturous 7 hour stage between Villanueva and Geltru de Berga, a duel between Poblet and Italian Aldolfo Grosso emerged. At day's end, Poblet had regained the leaders jersey for good. Retro Image Apparel offers a tapered cut for a sleek and stylish look. For a snug fit, order the same size as your American-sized garments; for a slightly more relaxed cut, we recommend ordering one size UP from your traditional American size.
